I killed this Droptine buck during the second week of Indiana's gun season. I had seen him 8 times before I could actually get it done, twice within 35 yds with my crossbow but i wouldnt take the quartering to shot. The 9th time I seen him he wasnt so lucky. It took me 135 hours sitting in the treestand before I finally got him. I scored him at 177". he has 13 total points.

Great buck. That double droptine looks almost identical to one I saw taken off Crane a couple years back.

So is it a double drop or does the one kick off the G2? Either way that thing is a stinking beast man! Let us know age estimate once you get jawbone. Congrats again!!!

Also on behalf of all of us bowhunters THANK YOU!
Way too many would have slung an arrow quartering to and possibly wounded and/or killed this deer with no recovery.

Only 1 tine actually grows DOWN. The other ones grow backwards off both G2's. I had him at 35 yds the first time I ever hunted him but he wouldnt turn broadside. Most patternable buck I have ever seen. I have 4 videos of him and every time I saw him he was in a 20 acre part of this particular farm. I actually shined him twice bedded 20yds from a county road. I imagine the only thing that kept him from getting poached was both places I shined him were real close to houses.
