This is my son Harrison's first deer. We were in a ladder stand overlooking a well traveled funnel. 2 does suddenly appeared to our left. He had to wait until the largest cleared a large cottonwood tree and presented a broadside shot. He was setup with the rifle shouldered and ready to deliver the shot when the opportunity presented. It was a perfect heart shot with the .50 caliber CVA muzzle loader and we saw her fall after travelling 30 yard or so. Now he wants to fill that buck tag! I am so proud of him. He is an expert trapper and now a deer hunter!

Haha, he grabbed my M65 coat on the way out the door when he felt the sunday morning temps.
He was wearing his size 12 coveralls under there. Look close, it's a .50 caliber muzzleloader =)
Just looked up the HEC suit. WOW, just think how many more deer could I have bagged had I been blocking my electrical field the past 22 deer seasons?? =)

iv come back on because what has really impressed me is this young mans shot placement, as far as i am concerned for someone hunting meat it is about perfect, height and right behind the shoulder. Young man you are welcome to come over the ocean here and stalk with me anytime you like. Dad has done a good job teaching. Oh you can come as well dad, lol Regards Billy
