Haven't decided yet. Have one nice buck that I would like to shoot, but think I would rather see if he makes it to next year. Hate to miss any days though. You never know what will show up this time of year.

I will be out buck hunting but I'll be in Kentucky for up to a week, depending how the hunting goes.
Next 3 days are likely my last 3 hard hunting days in Indiana.

I'll be headed straight to the woods after I get off work at 4pm. That puts me going in at the absolute wrong time, but my brother should be on the back of the property. If I push any he should be ion good shape, that's if he hasn't tagged out already. :-)
With the short time frame I was thinking about just taking the Optima 2 pistol, but having the range of the rifle as well will probably win out.

I'll be headed out Friday morning early for the 7 hour trip. Get landowner/friend input, look around, and get two climbers on the trees. Love my vacation each year. Seen a lot of changes in Indiana over the last 18 years or so. Used to hunt anywhere.....now NOT. My friend has 90 acres with a 1/2 pasture 1/2 alfalfa field right in the middle of it. Woods surround this with a creek on both sides and also on the far end. Used to see gobs of deer. Neighbors did not hunt and let us hunt their land also. Now the neighbors all have multiple food plots right in the middle of their thickets. Deer do not need the alfalfa so much and also the neighbors relative and even lease out pour the lead to those rascals. Oh well. Things change. I got a real nice 134" 8 pointer last year. My house will be paid off in about 3 years....may have to go in debt again and buy some wooded hunting land up in beautiful Indiana! Still loving the friends and the joy of hunting.

Would not miss the most exciting day of the year. I am mainly buck hunting but if I see an abundance of does, I may take one. The freezer is getting pretty low.

If my partner comes through, I'll be buck hunting at Big Oaks.. If not, doe patrol. Looking forward to it regardless.

Good. We both tagged out, driving home now. Lots of deer seen, nothing of any size though. I shot a 2.5 year old whitetail and my pard shot a small muley. Lots of fun, camaraderie, and full coolers.

Yes, I will be in one of my four stands come Saturday Morning, before sunrise, with my .308 in hand; all within walking distance from my home. I've noticed that most of the Deer on my property are mostly in-the-woods this season, with a few crossing my back field. While scouting earlier this fall, I found another area way back in the heaviest dense section of my woods. Will be working on this spot to get it ready for next year. I took my largest Buck near this spot back in 2009 (10-pointer).

If I had bought slugs before now I would consider it but I think I may have just enough to resight my shotgun and scope and have MAYBE one shell left

I am salivating, I can't hardly wait. Got a new spot to hunt and haven't even thought of going in there to look it over. A buddy of mine walked the periphery of it and kicked up a 10 and a 16 out of there. I think we will let that spot go for this weekend but next week it is on.

I'll be out there but I didn't vote, you didn't have anything listed about doe hunting only,I didn't even buy a firearm license, just 2 bonus anterless licenses.
