Had a buddy hit a buck tonight. At first it appeared to be a miss. Upon inspection the rage 3 blade was packed full of hair but no blood at all. Also the light up nock never went off. The deer ran away tail tucked but twitching rapidly he said and had mule kicked when hit. He thought he missed so didn't look for blood. My thoughts were to just go look in the morning. Maybe low brisket?

Interesting that there was no blood spotted?
Mule kick and rapid tail movement means a hit in the body for sure.. I would be back there at first light.

I tore his broadhead apart and just full of hair no blood on any part of the arrow.

The mule kick fooled me last year in Ky. Took a shot with my muzzle loader on a nice buck, he kicked and vanished in the woods. Looked for hours that night and the next morning, nothing. He was spotted the next weekend with no signs of a hit.
Hard to argue with no blood on the arrow. I've had a low grazing shot that only left blood on 1 fetching but never a hit that came bavk clean.

I would be looking first light to at least confirm a graze. If there are lots of yotes in the area it may be worth while going back and listen for a while.
