Me and the wife have took ours a few times so far. She had a small buck just look at it and does just starred as usual. I had one out last night also had 19 deer in the field 5 bucks biggest was 120" 10pt and a 110" 8 pt. the 10 was snort wheezing and trying to fight all the other bucks but paid no attention to the decoy. None of the bucks even tried to bumb a doe around either
Tried using my boss buck but to my knowledge no buck has laid eyes on it yet lol. Me and my brother both have a Montana fold out doe decoy. He had a doe try to go around downwind of it last night and shot her on the ground at 10 yards
I'll wait till next week to start using my flambeau.. Really excited to see primos waggin tail in action!
I have never seen one of those before. But, every year I get a tail off a roadkill deer, skin it out and pack it with borax. I screwed a hook into the back or my boss buck and hang a dominate buck scent wick on it and then the tail. Looks great blowing in the wind!
I'd rather be at the bottom of a ladder I want to climb than half way up one I don't.

I started about the 20th using a decoy. I've had the most luck with them in late October...for a buck decoy. After breeding, about the 15th, ill switch to a doe decoy in hopes of pulling in a buck who's between does looking for the next one
Planning to this afternoon ... I use a small framed 3D target w one antler. Just quieter when walking in than my plastic decoy too me.
I first started out using a 3D target but it deteriorated so I bought a plastic boss buck. The first time I took the 3D target out I was seated in a ground blind with the decoy 50 yards out (gun season). Before first light I was able to make out the silhouette of a deer approaching the decoy. It knocked it down and had the head ripped off before the sun was even up! I was hooked from that point forward with decoys! I absolutely hate putting the boss buck together in the mornings. It's so loud! Lately I have been keeping it mostly assembled and carry that way. But, once it is assembled and upright, it looks pretty good.

I keep mine fully assembled all the time for that reason.

I don't have a doe decoy. What I do is, take the legs and antlers off of my boss buck and place a couple stakes next to it to keep it from tipping over. Looks like a bedded doe then. I keep it next to a clump of grass, near a fence row or in between corn stalks so that the body does't appear so big. That seems to work for now but I do have intentions of getting a doe decoy someday.

I've tested it over and over and it's really nice.. Looks very realistic too! Pretty cheap too considering.
