That's the reason I have 2 coffee makers. And if the both go out, I still have the camp fire percolator.

We have the Krueger coffee maker, and really like it.
Our backup, that works even in a power outage, is a Melitta pour-over system. Works very well, and is only a few bucks.
Used to keep some Folgers in the cabinet in the bags that look like tea bags. They work pretty well too, and were my favorites for hunting trips for years.
Just wake up and light the campstove and by the time I was dressed and ready for breakfast, the water was boiling in the coffeepot and I could pour some in the cup to let the coffee bag steep a few minutes while some of the water went into a bowl with a couple of pouches of instant oats and a handful of raisins. Often had a smallish apple to eat as we drove a mile or two from camp to the parking spot and finished the coffee.
It was a long way to the nearest convenience store or truck stop from where we hunted in the Badlands.

If you owned a BUNN once you will own one again...............just sayin. Got the last one as a wedding gift 9 years ago, and it was a refurb, so it has served its purpose very well. Likely wait at least until we go thru the new bag of 150 regular sized coffee filters, then go shopping. I hear you though, it was a nice unit.

I have co-workers at work that you might as well not even talk to in the morning until they get 2 cups of coffee in them. Otherwise it's like talking to a zombie.

If you owned a BUNN once you will own one again...............just sayin. Well OBVIOUSLY featherduster, you speak words of wisdom! Drinking out of our new BUNN unit this morning. Wife couldn't take it any longer and surprised me with the new unit! Lol. Too bad it is running via generator as our power is out yet again this morning due to the high wind.

And, channel 8 in Indy just had a report on health benefits derived from the dark brown elixir! Depending on the report, it will either kill a person or be good for them ...just like most things. In my current state, I pay little attention to any of it. For me, it's kind of like a park hunt; we shoot the first thing we see. If it's cooked and in my frig, I eat it.
