After installing the 13# recoil spring and installing the Houge grip I stopped by the range on my way to check out my deer/turkey spot. The spring did take some snap out of the gun. At 18' I aimed dead center of the red. Both first shots were low and left. From then on I aimed at between the top of the red and the 9. Spot on except a couple "operator errors "left .. I like the little gun..

Does anyone have a Ruger LCP? I am looking at a small pocket pistol and I have had good luck with Rugers. I had a Beretta 21 in .22 LR but I moved it on due to the 22 reliability. I want something in about that size to replace it. Only problem that I had with the LCP was any pressure on the front of the magazine while charging the weapon caused the round to nose down into the feed ramp and jam. After making sure that my finger was not touching the magazine at all while getting the first one in the chamber, it ran like a charm and was very accurate despite the small front sight and groove for a rear sight. I found that with the Ruger LC9S Pro that when using Hornady Critical Duty Ammo with the FlexLock bullets that when I manually worked the slide that the bullets would nose down and get caught on the bottom of the feed ramp and the bullet would not feed into the chamber. It did this while manually working the slide. I don't think that it did that when I actually fired the gun using this ammo. The ammo is more expensive than my other ammo that I normally shoot at the range. So I don't have much time shooting the Hornady Critical Duty Ammo in 9 mm. I need to try shooting the Hornady Critical Duty ammo some more the next time I visit the range and see if it fails to feed or not. But it sure does tend to nose down and get caught in the feed ramp when I manually work the slide with a full magazine and one in the chamber. The top round just won't feed into the feed ramp smoothly like it should. Now when I use the Blazer Brass 9 mm FMJ 115 gr ammo it feeds perfectly every time. So I carry it with this ammo for now.
