I had an old hunting backpack that my dad bought in the 90's that had the zippers replaced several times. It was a good hunting back pack with plenty of pockets and room for storage. However, after this weekend, I think it is time to replace it. The shoulder strap and waist strap were stitched together and they both ripped this weekend when I was loading my gear into the car. So, I figured I would ask around and see if anyone had any recommendations on a good backpack that is both durable, spacious, and reasonably priced. I like to use my pack to carry my safety harness and also my cold weather gear during the late season. I also usually carry a couple bottles of water, a sandwich or snack of some kind, and a couple spare flash lights.

When I think reasonably priced, to me it's not $$ but quality and features received for the $$ spent. While it's more than you need, I have one of the Eberlestock J1(something) backpack for out west hunts. That is more than you probably need, but their quality and attention to detail in putting it together is great. I would look at their smaller backpacks for your needs. www.eberlestock.com/hunting.htm
