The guy who has the office next to me (Tim) has been out with cancer (kidney)(yeah that's bad spot in particular to start with) and I found out this morning he has been given over to Hospice. I have been here 32 years and he was he when I started so I have known him a long time. He is an outdoorsman as well so we had much in common. He loved leather working and I was the recipient of some of his work over the years. He is 64 and was going to retire early spring of next year. I knew he would never be back, it's still hard when the sentence comes down though. His family is really taking it hard as his brother and father both passed this year and his wife just finished recovering from cancer herself. If you would remember the Miller family I would appreciate it.

Man Dave, I am so sorry. It's painful and seems so odd to me to know someone for so long and then they are no more. It has always left me with a strange and empty feeling.
I hate that I didn't see this sooner.
Let's pray now: Father, we thank you for who you are and your plan for our lives here and after. Please help those who loved this man deal with the loss. Comfort them in their time of need, and place in them a renewed sense of urgency to know your plan for them and purpose for all things. Use this loss to somehow glorify your name and bring good from it. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
