My parents have it. Pretty nice setup. If you already have netflix or amazon prime its about perfect to get. Plus they have bow hunt or die web shows if your into that.

I have one. It's okay. I got it hoping I could cut the cable out, but didn't quite rise to that level. I watch a fair amount of youtube on it and I have Amazon prime so I can stream things through that as well. There are "channels", some of which are free and some of which are not. The amount of content through those is relatively limited. Some networks also make content available through it, but I found that many ask you to verify your cable subscription after so many episodes. That aside, I still like it and even just being able to watch YouTube and have a remote is pretty cool. Here's an article that compares the different streaming devices. www.cnet.com/news/chromecast-vs-apple-tv-vs-roku-3-which-media-streamer-should-you-buy/

For me it's great! We've had ours for a few years. I think we paid ~$50 for the device, It's not all that cable will get you. But, I don't care. I got sick and tired of the outrageous fees. I can do just fine between Netflix, Amazon Prime, Wired Outdoors, Addictive Fishing and so on!

I have a Roku TV. Bought it thinking we could get rid of our cable bill. Wife shot my idea down. It works well enough with high speed internet.
