Ohio has draw hunts like Indiana, but the odds are a whole lot slimmer. I apply every year with hopes of drawing. 2 out of the last 4 years I've gotten lucky. This year I drew a gun hunt for the Ravenna arsenal. They only have 2 hunts a year with 88 people drawn. One hunt is either sex and antlerless only. I was fortunate enough to get the either sex. I have a legitimate chance at tagging a giant out of this place and am really stoked.

Do you just need an out of state license or how does that work?

Yeah. You have to have a current hunting license to apply. It also cost 3$ per hunt to apply. I moved to Ohio about 8 years ago. I'm just barely across the state line. I get to enjoy both states cheap due to my Indiana lifetime license.

Cool! How many days do you get to hunt it?

It's just a 1 day hunt. It's going to be a 4 hour drive, but with what I've seen come out of there I'm taking my chances.
