Thought I'd pass this on. Walmart.com has Ameristep recon ladder stands for 48 and free shipping or pick up at the store. Clearance has been going on a while bit they've been out of stock. Noticed today they had them and placed my order. Nothing fancy but good deal for the money with arm and shooting rests. Ypu can't hardly find the cheapest lock on for thst price anymore. www.walmart.com/ip/Ameristep-15-Recon-Ladderstand/36545663

Thanks. Bought two. One for me and one for my wife.
How do you guys recommend securing them in terms of preventing theft? May be a concern where my place is.

Yeah, saw the two man and thought about it, but figured could get two of the one man for a little more. May pick that up if I like the single man model.

No longer in stock. They gone. I think they go together with pins. Take off the bottom section of ladder when you leave.

How do you guys recommend securing them in terms of preventing theft? May be a concern where my place is. Since I've had tree stands stolen, I thought I could offer some advice based on personal experience. The first thing to remember is: if someone wants your stuff badly enough, they will get it. All the security equipment in the world is not going to stop a determined thief. That having been said, there are some choices you can make to either deter thieves or identify them if they steal your stand. 1) Use a big chain and quality lock. Nothing is impossible to cut through, but chains and locks aren't that expensive and the presence of a thick chain and quality padlock on your stand may deter the would-be thief. The longer it takes to defeat any security device used, the higher the deterrent factor. 2) Locking cables can be cut through with a hatchet. One of our stands that was stolen was locked to the tree with a 3/8" thick steel cable and lock. And the jerk who stole it didn't leave the lock behind either. I figured they used a hatchet to cut the cable since I was able to do it on my own stand after losing the key to the lock we put on that cable (and it took a surprisingly short amount of time to do this). 3) Try to conceal your stand from traveled roads or paths. A brand new stand attached to a tree that can be seen from a road or well-traveled foot path is an inviting target, even if it is on private property (believe it or not, thieves don't care about no trespassing signs). Burlap (or other material) camo cover helps break up the straight lines of a latter stand so they can't be easily spotted in the woods. 4) If you are placing a stand in a high-risk area, then stopping a would-be thief from taking it may be an impossibility. BUT, you might be able to later catch the thief if you set up a well-concealed game camera aimed at your stand (assuming the thief doesn't also spot your camera and steal it as well). 5) Don't give anyone a reason to commit a 'revenge' theft. We caught a trespasser on our hunting property and stopped short of turning him in to law enforcement, however, we did verbally read him the riot act before parting ways. Probably not the best decision in hindsight - because later, he decided to ride his ATV up and down the property line while we were hunting to try to scare the deer away. It was not long after that one of our stands came up missing. While I can't prove the same guy was responsible, I can assume it was him based on our history with his trespassing and hunter harassment habits. The right call initially would have been to involve law enforcement so there was a record of his trespassing which could have later been used when things really went south. If nothing else, it gives law enforcement a reason to focus on an individual on the suspicion of theft if that same individual was previously cited for trespassing on the same private property the item was stolen from. 6) Don't invest a lot of money in something that can get stolen by jerks or wreaked by mother nature. I don't buy the latest, greatest, and most expensive stands for a reason. Buy what will do the job safely, and what will work for you. You're going to be really ticked off if you drop several hundred dollars on a stand and it gets stolen or an ice storm comes through and folds it and the tree it is attached to in half.

Thanks for the info. I've picked up some heavy duty locks. Where do you suggest placing the chain and how do you keep it from making lots of rattling noise?
