Would it be possible to have some sort of deer summit where everyday deer hunters and landowners could get together and have some sort of civil discussion about the issues they see, explanations of others views, and possible solutions?

That's what these forums accomplish. Anyone and everyone can participate and many who post in them are not the kind of people who would get up in front of a crowd and feel comfortable about expressing their opinions.

I agree with commissioner...he makes a good point. If such a meeting was organized though...I would go. It could be beneficial if enough people attended Trophy Paradise Habitat Consulting "Trophies are built from the ground up" m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=852914431431752

Face to face is always better if you are trying to accomplish something ..... hard to gauge a persons demeanor and intent from behind a monitor / keyboard.

I was talking about members from this forum and other such loosely organized groups here in Indiana.

Nonetheless, their summit structure may be a good template for an inexperienced organizer.
