Ok recently the dnr passed the rule about using customer id on tree stands. Why didn't they include or limb lines or did they and I didn't see it. I was wondering if this is was ok to do. I know you can't speak for every ICO with their discretion in the matter but right to privacy should be a concern.

The language under the Administrative Code has not been changed to show the use of the customer ID number. I know this has been discussed and that it would include all the situations be consistent. However, until it is adopted, the rule states the requirement of name, address, and telephone number.

Shortly after I posted my first response to this, I was informed that the use of the customer ID in place of the name, address, and phone number was included in a rule package that was passed by the Natural Resource Commission. Once the approved rules are signed off on by the Attorney General and the Governor's office, they will be in effect 30 days after they are posted to the public. these changes should be in effect this fall and are consistent to include tree stands, limb lines and trot lines. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
