What's up guys! I'm curious as to what in your experience has been the best offseason attractant for whitetails. I currently have a Trophy Rock and a bag of "Gold Deer Nuggets" by Record Rack and BioLogic but due to the snow haven't had a chance to try it. Just want to see what options I had and what you guys have luck with! Thanks!

Probably no right or wrong answer. I use a trace mineral block and add Lucky Buck deer minera1 to site's monthly. Run my lick's from Approx. Dec 1 through Sept 1. Do have out now and get regular visit's to site's on a daily basis. (Of course peak time's are mid to late summer.) Some say there is no need, other's say they help with deer's antler development and general health. I also run a corn feeder from Dec 1 through late April. Some say by doing so I am killing my local deer and there is no benefit?? LOL, have yet to find a dead one close by. Plant several acre's of food plot's as well. Deer don't seem to mind as I will see any where from 10 to 20 in our field's on a average day to upwards 50-60 on a good day this time year between our farm and neighbor's. Guy's complain about not seeing deer, but I am seeing plenty. Must be doing something right ?? Or maybe just lucky I guess.

As a simple attractant......nothing beats good old corn. (Where I grew up corn is a verb) if you want a supplemental feed that will provide added nutrition then you have several good options. Minerals are an altogether different thing...they aren't a feed. Trophy Paradise Habitat Consulting "Trophies are built from the ground up" www.facebook.com/trophyparadise

Yea I meant to take the "feed" out of the thread name but forgot lol I've been trying the last few years to find something that works well and what I used last year worked great... for coons but didn't have a deer touch it.. I have pics up upwards of 8+ coons on the pile at once.. so I wont be trying that one again this year.

If you want to go the simple route...the best cheapest attractant is a red trace mineral block. Not much in the way of nutrients, but the salt will pull in the deer...coons won't eat it all either Trophy Paradise Habitat Consulting "Trophies are built from the ground up" www.facebook.com/trophyparadise
