What did your wife or significant other ask for Valentine's Day. Or what did you get them.
My wife asked me to get her a new fishing pole and reel. I think I have a good one.

After 17 years of marriage we both agreed that going out for breakfast this morning would be the perfect gift for us both. I did buy her a romantic card that incorporated the word fart to help express my feelings of love for her. It brought tears to her eyes I to have a good one. LOL

We quit the gift thing quite some time back. We both have just about everything in the world that we could possibly use so we just forgo that. Going to lunch later and that will be that..

We don't exchange gifts however we do go out to nice dinner but with the blizzard we have going on right now I don't think it's very smart to drive through a white out and large drifts.

Took momma to lunch at O'Charley's. Came home and built a nice cozy romantic fire in the fireplace. And we are now sipping coffee... Love it...

Mine said absolutely no flowers or chocolate this time. All she wanted a sushi/sashimi dinner, and a crosstitch kit. The final tab was around $75.

I guess I'm the bad one in the crowd. Wife went to winter guard dance with the daughter. They then spent the day together. Son went with his girlfriend to lunch. I stayed home and worked on the sprint car most of the day. Now watching the ARCA race. Everyone did what they wanted.

I got my wife a 97 cent card from Wally world. She sautéed some deer loins. Great evening!

We don't exchange gifts however we do go out to nice dinner but with the blizzard we have going on right now I don't think it's very smart to drive through a white out and large drifts. BLIZZARD was putting it lightly. I was at the Subway in New Carlisle when it hit. Wanted to stop at the dollar store for a card but had to go. Barely got home, 100% whiteout, worse I ever been in. Bet I saw 25 cars stranded in 1.5mi on SR 2 . Total mess. Thank God I didn't take my son with me. Only windy when I left but turned bad instantly. Had to go save my neighbor that got stranded and was walking 2 mi before he called me. He could have froze to death or got hit, but I got him home safe. On the way we pulled out a guy with a 1yo baby that was stuck from a slide off. Unreal out there. Worse I ever seen. Jay

We have also mostly gotten past the whole gift thing.
But I went to the butcher then came back home and fired up the grill and grilled some inch thick ribeye steaks, baked potatoes and a pile of shrimp scampi. All over a cherry wood fire....yummy!!!
The wives loved it - when done we all felt like we were going to explode...lol To relax after dinner we sat in front of the fireplace and played some spades. I know...a real redneck romantic, eh?? Nothing better than red meat, shrimp and taters on a grill...LOL

How's this: My wife took our sons to their basketball games, and she went to see "50 Shades of Grey" with some friends. I went to a funeral in Chicago ... and I really don't like Chicago. At least I was able to stop by Cabela's on the way home.
