Tried to look up the answer to this question, with no luck. I understand unloaded guns in the safe zones. But if you are camping, and walking out of the campsite safety zone, to go hunting, do you have to have the gun in a case, until you clear the safety zone, or will just unloaded suffice?

Ask our conservation officer after all he most likely will be the one that would enforce this regulation.

I have hunted while camping on state property, it can be a lot of fun. What I have found out over the years is, if you are hunting on state property that has the regulations concerning keeping firearms in a case in safety zones, you probably won't find very good hunting close enough to those zones to be walking to.
I guess a lot of the answers you are looking for depends on where you plan on camping.

That sounds like where the Gold Club stays when they have their outings down there. If I'm remember correctly, the property manager is real easy to deal with. I would say to just give them a call and get all your questions answered.

Spring gets here, I'm going down for a scouting trip, during the week, and I'll stop at their headquarters and talk to them.
