8 month old Spade (Sally/Hunter) is switching over to hare, not sure if she will make it or not but figured it wouldn't hurt to show her what she was actually running. She sure seemed to like the taste of them anyhow..LOL Hope she has a good memory cause I seldom shoot, this is the first hare I have shot in almost 3 years. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOa_nrE3zjg&feature=em-upload_owner

Looking good. My male would've had it half eaten before you got there. We went out today and had 5 out in about 20 acre field. Two chases at once. Only shot I took was after they circled one 5 times. Shot as he was heading to the hole. Took a pot shot at one at about 50 yards with the .410 also but just wanted to end last run. My old male was literally walked the line out he was so tired. He can't run with the pups anymore and definitely can't run with my new male.
You ever run into any wolves up there? Talked to a lot of guys that are having issues up in Michigan.

I have had the wolves chase my cat hounds out of the woods a few time's but have not had a hound killed YET. I know it will happen but hopefully later then sooner. The bear hunting group I run with in Wisconsin has had a few dogs killed. Good friend Jim M. had 9 beagles killed in Michigan. Wolves are pretty thick in my area, just a matter of time. I live in the center of the highest wolf density in the lower 48.

Some of the beagle forums I'm on showed quite a bad year last year for it. Hearing a lot of coyote incident too.
