Not by me but on my land....one the guys that hunts my cousin's next door property told me that he watched a bobcat working the edge of the CRP ground that was just planted this spring. I'm excited to think that maybe I'm drawing in more wildlife with this planting. Hopefully we'll get something on camera soon.

West side of Tippecanoe county. Sent our Wildlife Biologist (Dean Zimmerman) a short email about it-he was pretty prompt with a response saying there there have been a handful of sightings in my area and on down along the Wabash (our creek drains into the Wabash). He still hasn't had the chance to see one yet though.

On the Switzerland Co property, got pics of a mama carrying her kittens. Almost every time the camera is check we have bobcats on them. Ohio Co. seen one from a far running across the bean field. Never got one on camera. One was hit on 262, got to see that one.

Yesterday, as I was pulling out of my driveway headed for work, something darted across the street in front of me causing me to slow down for a second. I couldn't tell what it was at first, so I stopped to give it time to cross the street. The critter stopped by my mailbox and stood there staring at me, and then it dawned on me what it was. At first I thought it was a cat, but it was a bit too large. There was also the fact that it had a stubby tail and large paws relative to its legs, which none of the neighborhood furbags do. There was also the matter of the dished face and tufted ears, and that's when it hit me. It was a juvenile Bobcat! I'm pretty sure that I had also seen it a few days earlier as my grandson and I were returning from a mid morning deer hunt, either that or the largest rabbit I've ever seen dashed away from me as we approached the house. I didn't get a good enough look to be sure as it blazed by, so I can't swear that was what it was.

Muzzleloader, I've been getting regular pictures of one in Switzerland county also. Must be getting a good population of them. Saw one from a ground blind this hunting season. First time for that.
