Alarm went off, I didn't want to get up. But I did. Got in stand 10mins before shooting light. About 830 this one comes in and slowly walks past and he wasn't getting any closer. So I grunted him. He stopped a little later than I wanted because I could see his shoulder tree then lower chest. So I shot him where he stood. About sixty yards. He jumped and took off across the field. And didn't see him go down. I got down and looked at the shot site. Immediately my heart sunk no blood. I look around for the first fifty yards. Still no blood. I go back to the house and ask the wife do you want to look for a buck. She said heck yes. I show her where I shot him and she didn't see any blood. We went to where I last saw him 150 yards away still no blood. I thought well think like a deer. I'd go into the woods on the other side of the field, but I don't know where he went in at. So I start at one of the ends of the woods and look for blood. And i found some. He went twenty yards in and piled up. From what it looked like he was bleeding down his hind legs. I shot him in his stomach and liver.
