One of my spots to hunt is basically the back yard of an old abandoned house...its all thick cover through here and today i found rubs and big scrapes that weren't here last week...there are runs all through here...anyone got any input about how good it is hunting by old abandoned houses?

I have an occupied house that has had bucks chasing does in the front yard twice since sunday morning.
I imagine an abandon house would be just fine.

I'd love to have an old abandoned house or barn to hunt out of. They can be quite comfy and productive! Good luck!

The old timer that owned the ground just south of my hunting property used to shoot them out of his hay loft. He killed a bunch... I once asked him when he killed his first one and he said," It was the year that they first stocked them". Yeah, he was a "good old boy"..

The first buck I ever killed was out of an old house. A small six pointer that seemed like a booner to me @ the time.

Just don't forget the orange on the outside walls if you sit in it during gun season.

hey I think their great to hunt out of. My first hunting trip ever (was 6) that's how my grandfather did it. Old house that was on his land. just sat next to a window. wish I had one down on my place. Might make it easier to teach my youngest who gets cold very very easy

Nothing wrong in using an old abandoned home for Deer Hunting, as long it is safe. My bedroom window faces my back field and I could take a shot at a nice Buck if I want.

any house or barn on the property could be used. I have hunted property's with abandonded structures and sometimes the deer will use them as cover, especially old barns or corn cribs. Had a nice buck once use a corn crib as its main bedding area.
