I'm seeing deer on the trail cams now out in legal shooting light. I was all set to go out this morning until I saw the temps and windchill. There's still a few days left in the season.....
-10°F winchill changed my mind.

Two doe when I walked in. My gracious host has 4 doe by him. Trying to fill my urban doe tag so I can get on a buck. Never hunted urban before. Not much ground but it looks promising!

Not live from the stand now, but was very happy with this mornings site. In all, saw 10 deer. 5 doe and 5 bucks. 4 of the bucks were running together and following 3 doe and 1 of the bucks was a nice wide 8. Had he come a little closer, he would have been dinner. Will be back out again in the morning in hopes to kill a buck.

Out for Ohios muzzy season. Hunting some public ground. Anything is fair game today. Got a late start and had guys parked at my two best spots already. Had to go into an area I haven't been in before. Cool with a very light breeze. Heard 1 shot not long after legal shooting time.

Busted ice for 1 hour. It was a very slow day. Finally we had 2 drake mallards come in. Busted mine at 35yrds in the chest and had brown feathers fly everywhere like party confetti and yet the still managed to fly off. Somewhere out there is a very angry mallard with a bald spot now. All the fiance could do was laugh at me and I deserve it.

Well not quite. I am home. Been under the weather with up set stomach. I was just seeing here reflecting on my deer season. It was TOUFFFFF to say the least. First time in 30 years I did not take a deer in indiana. Could I have dune any thing different? Not really. Hunted every time I got a chance (30 +days) saw deer in archery just not close enough. Saw no deer during gun/muzz/bonus gun. Am I ticked? No not really. I would have liked to put some meat in the freezer but we are not going to starve. I am some what disappointed but that is hunting. I had a good year. Saw some beautiful sunrises and sets Some fall trees in full color plus all the other normal things (birds squirrels ducks geese and what not) I really can not complain. I came thru healthy and safe, had a good year and am looking forward to next year all ready. I know the deer were there at times. I saw them and so did trail camra. I just did not happen to be in the right spot at the right time. (I think that is called hunting) I will be heading to Texas in a couple weeks and hope to find someone to take me out hog hunting. But if not it is still a vacation and I will enjoy it. Still hope to get a couple rabbits be for season ends and my nephew and I are gona try to get together and call some yotes (first time for me) sounds exciteing. Still been a good season and looking forward to 2015 with no complaints. See you all here in "LIVE FROM THE STAND " next year. Hope 2015 is good and healthy for you all. Sincerely ONEBENTARROW

My dad got a doe tonight and I got a banded goose. I was hunting next to a watering hole this morning and had a group of mallards that wanted to drop in, but I think the blaze orange flared them off. Good job to your dad and you!

Greetings First day out this year, set off this morning and by lunchtime I had seen the grand total of not one deer.Lol After lunch on another area lower down I had the rifle on two but they both turned out to be bucks. Reckon I have been in the right place at the wrong time or the wrong place at the right time all day. That's hunting even on a large area. Regards Billy

Greetings The weather this week has been horrendous gales and rain, been quite a bit of tree damage. I ended up with three animals for the week. Not too bad when one thinks the main larder had six in it from nine rangers. See what next week brings. Regards Billy
