I actually bought several Hunten Outdoors cameras last fall at Rural King when they had them on sale for $50. Day time pictures are great, night time pictures are good out to about 15 yards and decent out to about 25 yards. I use them for property security as well as animal scouting. I have one set up about 30 yards from a gate and only have trouble identifying trespassers on the night pictures. They use 4 "C" batteries that have lasted about 4 months. I did find out that if we have several days of storms and high wind in a row that a 4gig memory card will hold a little over 3400 pictures.......

I've never had a problem with my Wildgame Inovation's camara's. (Currently have 4 out.) Use 8 AA batteries and I'd say on average batteries last 45-60 days. I set all on 1 minute shutter setting. I get 50 to 100 picks per day. Use Duracell batteries as well. Some of the cheaper one's just don't last as long as well. Some sample pics are on trail cam pick thread. Only time I have problem with clarity is at night and over 15 yds or so. Maybe I thinking of the Wildview cameras..I actually think they junk ones I got were Wildview cameras..sorry my bad haven't tried the Wildgame ones
