I use a mix of LTL Acorn cams with cellular service that take excellent pictures. I keep a handful of the cheap 3MP Wildview cams on hand to scatter through the farm to find the travel routes. The 3MP wildview cams take OK daytime pics but take excellent night pictures. LTL Acorn Pics: Wildview Pics:

I have a Cuddyback and a Bushnell, currently. The both do a good job. I have had Wildgame Innovations cams and Wildview cams before. They all worked fine. One thing I do recommend is to get cams that use AA batteries. They (in my experience) have longer battery life and the batteries are cheaper too.

Anybody use the cuddeback attack? Yes they are junk..DO not buy a cuddeback. I have 4 cuddebacks now and all 4 do not work.
The best camera I've found right now for the money are the Moultrie M-880, M-990i,M-1100i. Bushnell trophy cams are good cameras , but for $50 more than the Moultrie's. I'd buy the Moultrie. I have 5 Moultrie cameras currently and really like them so far. THe new M-1100i is really nice..Short of buying a Reconyx for $550, the Moultrie's are the next best thing.

I have an 880 and it takes a lot of good pictures....a lot. Not sure if it's an issue with the camera or movement in the field that I can't see on the pictures, because I haven't tested it.
I have a several year old Scoutguard that is my favorite. One of the first "mini" cams and the first to use the boly media board. I would recommend them or Covert cams.
I have never had a cuddeback, but have heard others who have had issues with them recently and I have owned several primos cams and will never use another one.

I've been very happy with my Moultrie m990i. It is way better than the Primos Truthcam. I have read that cuddeback quality has went down in the last few years.

The Cuddy I have is several years old. It wasn't mine originally. A friend gave it to me. It works great. Maybe the older ones are better than the newer ones?

That's what I read when I was doing research on trail cams last fall. Cuddeback used to be one of the best brands but recently the quality isn't what it used to be. I've never owned one, so I can't speak from personal experience. Buying a trail cam is a major purchase in my budget. I did a lot of reading before settling on the Moultrie.

This is my first year of trail cameras, I bought 2 of the Cuddeback Ambush's that Bass Pro had on sell for $99. I had them out for a week, but i could not wait to see if they worked or not. When I pulled the cards I had great pictures daylight and night time. So far I like mine. Time will tell.

I used Cuddebacks for years. They went downhill bigtime. I have 4 currently malfunctioning and I've sent another 3 back to cudddeback under warranty in the past few years..I'm done with them. Moultrie and Bushnell a good cameras. Can't go wrong with either one of the M-series Moultries or the Bushnell trophy cams.

I use Wildgame Innovation's myself. Their lower end camara's I usually can find in the $60-$70 range. I can buy 3-4 camara's for the price of some of the nicer camara's and it's not so big a deal if one get's stolen or wear's out. They take great daylight pic's and pretty decent nighttime pic's. JMO

I've never had a problem with my Wildgame Inovation's camara's. (Currently have 4 out.) Use 8 AA batteries and I'd say on average batteries last 45-60 days. I set all on 1 minute shutter setting. I get 50 to 100 picks per day. Use Duracell batteries as well. Some of the cheaper one's just don't last as long as well. Some sample pics are on trail cam pick thread. Only time I have problem with clarity is at night and over 15 yds or so.
