I walked out to my shop Tuesday and had two up an oak behind it. I told them to stick around. I really wish maples seeded in September

Walking behind the garden I had a squirrel walk past me within 5 feet of where I was walking. If I hadn't of stopped I would have stepped on it.
Friday after next!!!!

Check the walnut trees first, the ones in backyard faces are black from eatin them already. Think every squirrel in the woods is in that walnut tree tonight.

Fine tuned the 541 in this eve getting ready for some bushy tails, using up some single box's of subsonics.RWS 40gr hp,PMC 32gr hp and some aguila's 40 hp. The PMC would not group tight enough for my liking, the aguilas were close but the RWS were outstanding cutting holes several times (too bad this is my last box). These were all Five shot groups at 50yrds.

I can't believe the first two days of season I have to work doubles. Won't be able to hunt until Sunday afternoon, and the first morning hunt I can have is Tuesday.

I just now got them. I got home last night just in time to shower and get a couple hours sleep before hitting it again today. I replied to all three.

I put Angela( gal I partnered with at the State Park hunt last year) in a prime spot and she picked up 2 last night. she was very excited, you don't take as many animals when you are mentoring but it has it's own reward. We hunted one of the places I deer hunt on Sat and they had it timbered over the summer. We were walking with them just to look at what they had done I was liking very much what I was seeing. John Wayne told me later we ought to move a fixed stand to this one place. I was thinking the same thing; he is getting this deer hunting thing figured out!
