just curious as to how many people how found tree stands on their property that shouldn't have been there. I have personally found about 8 over the last 10 years or so on our land. What about you?

There is one on my property that is about 10 feet on my side of the line. The guy still hunts it. I haven't said anything about it. He's a pretty good guy.

Found one on a property I was invited to hunt one weekend. I ran into the guy the next morning as we were headed to our stands, which were located very close together (he picked a good spot!). His brother farmed the land and he misunderstood the property lines. He went to a different stand that was on his brother's actual property and pulled his stand later.

My property is heavily posted, and everyone down here know this fact. So this is not an issue on my property, no one is allowed to hunt except my Brother & myself. Now, three years ago, I did have to run someone off with a threat of having him prosecuted for trespassing. I caught him, on my property, using a .30-06 rifle during our December Muzzle Loader "only" season. I was hunting that section of my property that morning and ran across him. He was not wearing any Hunter Orange vest or Hat either. I scared the crap out of him, I should have taken his rifle and told him he could recover it at the Sheriff's office. Now, when I go out to Hunt, I carry a walkie to communicate with my Brother, if the need should arise again.

Zero since I started removing them the first Fall of our new lease 6 yrs. ago along with re-posting "no trespassing" signs & mending cut fences @ all access points. Scouting year around on foot & ATV lets the locals know that I can show-up anytime, any season. I also do not find trail ribbons, reflective night-eyes, footprints, expelled shotgun shells, cigarette butts, pop cans, or food wrappers anymore either.

The trespassers on our properties just hunt out of MY treestands! I've had to run a couple out over the years that were in the stand I was planning to hunt. Better than stealing them though, I guess.
