Just saw that Sugar Ridge, my favorite little turkey loaded F&WA will have a reserve hunt the first 5 days of season. It is good to see the DNR taking steps to improve the hunting. I'll probably be in Nebraska those days but it's nice to know the birds are probably going to be less pressured when I get home.
I'm not sure if Interlake will be collecting fees from hunters yet this spring, but I envision some great turkey hunts in the future on both properties.

With sugar ridge being a draw hunt this year, is youth weekend still open to anyone?
Can't wait to back up there this year.

I hope they post that it is reserved hunt for the first 5 days. Guys still will hunt, but they need to post it everywhere there is an entrance to let hunters know.

I'd say guys will still hunt the same as they still mushroom hunt and also say the ywill go in at Interlake and walk across the road to Sugar Ridge. The attempt is a good one and although they have some fine CO's that work the area, they can't keep up with it and the rest of the counties they are assigne to. I wish it was like the WMA's I've hunted in Florida. All access roads are gated off and there is a sign in and/or a gate keeper to check you in/out.
