I had a pretty good acorn crop on our farm this year. No sure i'm buying fewer acorn's is reason there are more deer/vehicle collision's. (Don't see that one.)

My grandma's woods is littered with acorns this year, but I have seen very few signs of the deer eating them.

Last year, I had an abundance of acorns from several species of Oak, in my woods. This year while there were some acorn about, there was not as many as last year. I think a rainy Spring, at the critical pollination period, fertilizing is disrupted by the rain, thus no/little acorns were produced. A dry late Winter & Spring usually means a good acorn crop.

At my usual spot i was getting pelted by acorns... (and annoyed by squirrels). Also have a few oaks in my yard that were dropping a lot. So much so that the deer were grazing 30 yards from my house and about 5 yards from the fence with my dogs going nuts (no pun intended, lol). I was incredibly tempted to shoot one out the bedroom window with my bow. (side note: would that be illegal?)

Deer's diet is comprised mostly of BROWSE. They obviosily prefer certain food's over other's at certain time's of year. But blaming deer/vehicle accident's on lack of acorn's is STUPID.

Then I'm guessing you'd be fine.
I don't see how a house would be any different than a box blind.
