Do many people hunt here after firearms season? I was thinking about maybe going on a stalk/sit on the ground hunt there sometime during muzzleloader season. I don't have a climber or easily portable stand, but I don't mind sitting on the ground. I can also hunt through the week, not just weekends so, can probably be there with less hunters. I've been scouting through there before and just want a change of scenery to maybe take a doe or 2.
Also, anyone hunt the newer section of forestry off Highway 67 and duckworth road?
I can't wait to get hunting in this snow we've got coming. I've always had good luck in the snow.

I haven't hunted there yet but some friends said the deer were really moving in that area during guns season and both took a nice buck. Good Luck. If anyone has any nice park maps detailing the boundaries it would be appreciated if you would post it.

I have hunted there since moving to Indiana in 08. I hunt mostly on week days and find I have the place to myself most of the time. The first week of firearm season is the only time I see people mid week. After that I only see other hunters on weekends. I have had a lot of success hunting there with the exception of this year. My deer sightings were way down and I have yet to harvest a deer. They have been doing a lot of logging in the area I like to hunt and that has effected deer movement patterns. I'm hoping to have some snow for this weekend so I can see what the deer are up to.

Yeah, I can't wait for this snow either.

I have gone there three times this season. All evening hunts and havent seen any deer...also have not heard many gun shots at all. And yes, LOTS of logging. The snow! best time for sure. cant wait until we get that first heavy snowfall. Im heading straight to the woods to check on fresh tracks

I bow hunted there on weekends. Never ran into other hunters, just rude hikers. I was going to go back next weekend with my bow since my muzzleloader is in MI.
