I have a firearm season license and 1 single antlerless. Do I have to get a buck and a doe or can just get 2 does. In the regs the firearm license from the way I see it has to be a buck. I've had many chances at does but no bucks. Id rather have meat than tag soup thank you for your thoughts. I'd call the dnr but they'd b closed

Your firearms license is only good for a buck, so you can get a buck and doe with the licenses you have right now.

I've seen this come up on other sites and undoubtedly there is many a deer hunter who unknowingly fills a "General Firearm License" with an antlerless deer. I do not know why the DNR can not put on the individual licenses what they are good for. I have two Illinois deer license and they say plainly on the licenses itself what they are good for. One is antlerless only and the other is either sex.
