Am I comparing apples and oranges here?
Ads this last week from Gander Mountain and Rural King..
Rural King…
Bushmaserter Carbon 15 With Red Dot – Caliber 5.56/223 Free Bushmaster tactical field cleaning kit 4 – 30 roubd magazines
$649.99
Gander Mountain
Bushmaster ORC 16 M4 223 Rem (no scope or red dot) Free Bushmaster tactical field cleaning kit 4 – 30 round magazines
$899
Why the disparity in prices? are these the same model guns?

Gander Mountain stores are usually in Yuppie centers. Yuppies pay whatever the price tag says without questioning. Rural King stores are usually situated in areas where people with some sense live. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Looks like they are different models on the Bushy site. Chrome moly lining on the more expensive rifle may be part of the difference?

Chrome lining is listed on their site for the Carbon-15 also. I wonder if the ORC from Gander has an aluminum reciever? No doubt though, Rural King beats Gander Mountain's prices all day everyday.

I can't find the listing for the rural king add, but The carbon 15 has a carbon lower(cheaper). Also another place where the prices could change is with the barrels. price wise chrome moly barrels are the cheapest, then chrome lined, and stainless. There are sooo many variables that can add or reduce prices in ar's.

I was in Evansville, Rural King (Morgan Ave.) last night & it looks like they are putting in a gun sales counter I guess they will start selling firearms just like the west side store does. It will be a great place for a gun shop.

I bought a Colt Gold Cup Trophy at the Vincennes Rural King a few months ago. Paid $1080 after taxes, while not a great deal, they had 1 and they were going for another $200 on Gun Broker. I think their prices are very fair.

Not the same gun in the ad Woody, the carbon 15 has both upper and lower made from a carbon fiber material, the orc is aluminum.
