Been needing rain badly here in southeastern Indiana and we have already gotten over an inch in the last hour. THANK YOU....Been waiting to plant a couple "kill plots" but been to dry. This is what I've been waiting for. Plus should flush out all the creek's stagnant water also.

Glad to hear it. It's hot as heck here with no rain, and I'm only around two hours northwest of you.

Anyone in the Dearborn, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland border area have rainfall totals? Hopefully, Laughery creek got a good filling.
Any report out of Franklin County (Metamora/Laurel area)?

Your good as most counties you mentioned are under flood warning's. I live in northeastern Switz. county, 15 min's from Rising Sun and we got a little over 2" so far. (Still raining) Ripley and Franklin counties got a bit more rainfall according to news. My mother lives in Versailles and she told me they had over 3" as of 8 p.m. and it was still raining. Laughery Creek should be rolling!!!!!!!!!!! LOl Much needed rain, but I expect it will soak up pretty quickly.

Thats great to hear we finally got rain! I planted a couple fall food plots a couple weeks ago and was getting really worried. This rain should help out. I bet willow creek which runs right along the road to our place is a raging river right now instead of a lazy creek.

I've heard nothing about rain amounts on the news, but we did get some here in Greenwood. I was at a friend's house in New Pal yesterday. Lightning struck a tree in his front yard while we were in his back yard. It was scary.
His wife called to complain that she'd just spent $15 on a car wash. Hail and rain where she was at. LOL

We ended up getting a massive storm late last night that blew my DSL modem/router. Now I have to surf the net on this slow phone until my replacement modem arrives in a week or so. LOL!

We got about 2" in a little less than 2 hours last night. The creek that is the sole drainage for 80% of our county rose about 3" and was back down in a couple hours. The creek never came close to getting to normal levels. The really good part is that means the ground soaked it up and it wasn't all runoff.

I would be a terrible farmer. We had been having good rains all summer every 3 or 4 days. So i planted a food plot the first part of August because we had plenty of moisture. As soon as I planted it, It hasn't rained much in 4 weeks. This kind od stuff always happens to me. I just about have given up on food plots. Things never work out it seems. The year we had our lake dug in July we had the worst drought I can remember. I guess i am just unlucky when it comes to trying to time the rains.
