I decide after lunch I'd go and do a little lane clearing on the back of the property. First trail I get to I see this: Cut it up and ended up being the first of 3. Man, they really came down this summer!

Activities like that were much easier 30yrs ago! I also managed to get stung twice for my efforts.

Don't fill like the Lone Ranger Dave. I do trail clearing just about every weekend. My hunting lease has been hammered by dead fallen trees & limbs this year, not including the multiple TSI girded wind-falls in the area that was timbered last Fall.

Wonder why so much came down this summer? Last years drought, heavy Spring rain & winds, Glass Worms, Black Ants, & Poplar Scale affected my area.

My wife said pretty much the same thing last night. Guess several people have had trees come down this spring and summer. Haven't been back since turkey season and none of them were down then, just wasn't expecting it.

I had one take out a leg on my tripod stand and another put a limb through the foot platform of a ladder stand. They were both repairable though..

Hopefully you got a majority of it cleaned up before this heat wave...
