Is this a new thing? Where is it? Any good? I was applying for draw hunts and saw it. Don't recall seeing this one before.

looked good last year when I scouted it.... full of deer and turkey sign but like most, wasn't drawn. bout 45min West of Indy. It was land the DNR "swapped" for the acreage taken away at Atterbury.

I think this is the 3rd year for it. I was out there fishing with my Cub Scouts a few weeks and it looks promising. It is by Putnamville. Former state farm prison land was involved as part of the swap for the land the feds took from Atterbury FWA and made part of the base again.
I am considering signing up for it myself; however, I haven't decided what weekend(s) yet. I would hate to get drawn and then not be able to make it.

Do they allow antler-less to to be taken at deer creek? and does it count against your tags?

It is NOTlike a state park reduction hunt. You get drawn for the opportunity to hunt the fish and wildlife property. You use your tags for all deer taken, which can be antlered or antlerless up to your limit. All normal DNR regulations apply.
