I met up with joeyb to do some fishing yesterday evening. We got to Eagle Creek around 6:00 and started out fishing the coves for bass. We were throwing cranks and the bite was really slow. I hooked into a largemouth early and a white bass later, but that was it. Apparently they had plenty of bait fish, because the water was popping all around us. We trolled cranks for walleye, but had no takers. He was seeing a lot of fish, but they didn't seem interested in fake fish with plenty of real ones available. Joey was a good captain, so that made up for the slow fishing. Plus, I learned a few things and that is always good. Eagle Creek Reservoir is a really nice place. I enjoyed the calmness of the lake and the fact that the only idiots on the water were those in the sailboats. We didn't measure it, but I'm pretty sure this largemouth was longer than the minimum... Nice sunset on the water as well...
