It works. More later when I get in a better area. This caliber is optimal for bears, you couldn't find a better option.

Here's the bear. Not huge. The hunt was slow compared to last year. All the baits were only hit every few days with no consistancy. The only bear on a good schedule was a sow with 2 yr. old cubs. Sunday morning one bait was hit at night and the bear ate most of the bait. We refresh the stash and scent early Sun. morn. I burned a pot of honey at 4:30 and killed this bear at 6.

Zec des Nymphies in Quebec. Hunted with a couple of friends that are residents of Quebec. A ZEC is a large block of land owned by the government and managed for public use. It has over 1000 lakes and ponds and lots of ATV trails and lots of bear. Only a few residents hunt them. They do hunt moose, and they are plenty of them in the ZEC.
