A buddy and I are headed down there for a few days on our week off next week. The fish are moving out onto the ledges and the fishing is good. Hope they can keep the current going until we get there. There was a 12.01 or 12.08 weighed in last Thursday.
Anybody else been down there? 3ptbuck?

They just pulled the plug and dropped the lake to summer pool in the matter of several days. Ledge bite is picking up. I haven't talk to Dave Stewart this week but suspect that's where the bite is now. I had a friend take his ledge class today. The flipping bite is done. I seen that pictute of the 12'lb'er caught during the Anglers Choice. It was dead too. That was the week before last though. I'll be down there mid June for week. June is probably the best month for the Ledge bite...July ain't bad either. Red line is present level. Gray line is summer pool. Black line is last year.

I'd say you're right that it'll be a ledge bite by the time you get down there. We whacked em down there 2 days ago flipping the outside of the last remaining flooded bushes & trees in 2-3ft of water. Everyone thought the flipping bite was done then with the way they had dropped the lake in the days leading up to it. All but maybe one of our fish was spawned out also so id say they were headed out soon anyways.
When you guys get back head out to the river if you want to have some fun. We were out there yesterday prefishing for the next AL tournament and got into a massive school of Hybrids. Probably some of the most fun couple hours I've ever had fishing. Nothing huge but a ton of 2-2.5lb fish. We left them still biting with a double on our last casts but needed to get back on the bass we were there for. Managed to catch some nice spots & lm the last couple days out there, too.
