Just caught the biggest blue gill I've ever seen,out of our pond ;D.

Just caught a batch of bluegills, no eggs in them yet. Bass have had eggs for several weeks now. I have seen no nest yet around my lake.

Just caught a batch of bluegills, no eggs in them yet. I would think that if they had no eggs they're not going produce any anytime soon. Those fish ready to spawn in this first major spawn of the year should be chock full of eggs right now.

Dont know but Dad caught another mess today, bass had eggs, bluegill had none. Water temps still to cold I believe.

Yeah but I catch bluegill in the winter full of eggs. Temp has nothing to do with the development of eggs, just the laying of them.

Caught some gills that were plump and full o eggs yesterday after work. I'd say it will be any time now. If the gills you caught didn't have eggs this time of the year they were males.

Redears have just moved up to the shallows to spawn. Still seeing some bass on the nest.

Was at Sugar Ridge Wednesday and brought 76 home. Hard to beat strip pit gills and redears for table fare.
