Just pulled trail cam over corn feeder for last 7 day's. 489 pic's and all deer have shed. (No bone) Could identify several different buck's with fresh pedical's. So time to really get after finding those shed's. Friend I work with found a mid 150's dead buck this week while looking and I have only found 1 shed and that was 3 weeks ago.

I plan on hitting the woods next weekend to pull my cameras and do some shed hunting. I just hope I don't have the same luck your friend did!

Frost seeded clover's and chickory on my fields on the 17th and picked up 4 more sheds. Brings me up too 17 but only 4 matching sets. Found all of them in the fields, I'll wait till next month before checking trails, etc. Checked one of my trail cams today and only one of the bucks hadn't shed yet, he still had both sides.

Weather was so nice I had to find an excuse to get out. So I went out last weekend to do that very thing… first time ever with the real intent of going out in search of sheds. Years of trekking through the woods and I can’t recall ever seeing even one. So no surprise I didn’t see a darn thing this time either. Probably covered 8 miles of public ground, bushwacking and following deer trails all over the place. Best I saw was a little snake and some turkeys. Oh well, guess it’ll me and the knight-n-hail pack rack (again) this season. Good luck to all who ventures out and congrats to those who score.

Found 3 more sets of sheds this past Saturday. One of the sheds was a single side funky non-typical with 7 points.

Ive found 5 so far this year in 2 trips to the same 280 acre farm. This is a roughly 67" freshie and was my first of the year. I hope to spend some time looking for the other side but time seems hard to come by the last few weeks. Attachments:

Along the road in one area was an old wooden fence and they found several sheds there in a couple years just walking down the road, even a matching 10pt set.

Saw a big 8 today that still had both sides. Out in a field with 2 does around 4:30 CST. He was a good 250 yds away and the rack was easy to spot.
