I'm looking to buy another pistol and I at first was thinking about a beretta 9 mm but after further research I am leaning more towards the glock 22 in a .40 caliber. Just wondering what everyone thinks?

Got the Glock 22, love it!!! I like the 40 cals better than the 9 mm any day.

just my two cents - I have a Glock 19 and my nephew has a Beretta 92. we shoot them together all the time. The Beretta is ok and wins for looks, but the Glock is the better shooter any time.
I would carry either, but if I could only have one it would be the Glock.
Hard to beat a Glock

We can't choose for you - which ever you shoot better. The 40 has the edge in intermediate barriers, other than that there is nothing in the 9vs40 - take your pick. Now if you THINK the 40 is way better than the 9 then you should choose it, just for the extra peace of mind it will give you.

coming from the owner of over a dozen Glocks...guess which one I vote for?? LOL
But seriously - it all comes down to the one that YOU are the most accurate and comfy with.
Caliber is irrelevant, but in my experience I want the fastest lightest bullet I can shoot....or the heaviest and slowest bullet I can shoot. Either hyper velocity or a bowling ball...both work well. LOL
Also coming from someone who has been through enough to tell you that if you cannot hit what you are aiming at you should just learn to run or to hide behind something that will stop bullets...it's all about what YOU are comfortable and accurate with...did I mention that already?? It sounds familiar.
My wife carries a 1911 custom in 9mm. She tried many other pistols but the 1911 was the one that outshined the rest when you looked at her targets...period.
When it comes to a firearm it's all about accuracy and functional reliability. Nothing else matters than getting the bullets into your intended target. As my old trainer said many many times...GET THE HITS!!! NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!
Have fun and try many different pistols until you find the one that you are most comfortable shooting. Go to a range that has rental weapons and try many to see what you are truly comfy with - don't limit yourself to just 2 choices.

I'm skipping the .40 in favor of the 45ACP
