Having reached that milestone last April, I think that is a great idea.

Very nice indeed.
I see this one passing unlike the recent proposals to bring the the Lifetime License back.

I actually think this makes little sense. What purpose does it serve? Are Seniors somehow being denied hunting opportunities because of the cost of licenses? Why does a poor senior get this deal but a poor 20 year old doesn't? On the flip side, why does a rich senior get this but a poor 20 year old doesn't?
From my perspective this will take money out of the license pool and will do little to increase hunting opportunities for seniors.

While I am not against the idea, I see little purpose. With the way the Federal P.R. money is calculated everyone could have the opportunity to have a lifetime license with just a little tweaking. Set up the licenses prices on a sliding scale based on age. While I understand the lack of fairness in this, I also understand the thought process of the government. In order to keep the P.R. money at maximum levels the state would simply need to sell an annual "registration stamp" for few bucks.

I "think" this is a general hunting license and is not the everything license like the normal lifetime license that included deer tags. I " think" this is like the senior lifetime fishing license .. Got to be an attempt to get more federal money via P & R..

Got to be an attempt to get more federal money via P & R.. Reading it, it is the basic hunting license. Like I said, not a bad idea, just not enough. This tip-toeing through things just seems to irritate me. I truly feel it is time to let go of the old system and quit trying to modify it to fit the modern scheme of things. It's time to take a bold step and redo the entire thing.

Most states give seniors a price break, just like most resturants and most any business. Ky. Does it for $5 and that still allows a return on P-R funds. That said, this thread is the very first time Ive seen somebody object to it.

I quit hunting small game a few years ago. I know others who have as well. With this license the state would get the PR monies they are not presently getting. I would buy the license just for that reason. The state still did not get the senior fishing license right. If you are to old to get the senior lifetime you have to get one every year. I would also buy a lifetime fishing license for the same reason I would buy the hunting. I might even take a squirrel or two a year.
