I can guaruntee no dealer is FOR NICS checks. What they are NOT for is someone cutting their throats at Walmart or online then asking them to transfer the firearm for free. It's the cost of doing business for the guns they sell, not the ones that are bought somewhere else.

All guns I have that were purchased through dealers have the paperwork as required by law. At same time, firearms I have LEGALLY purchased from friends and family members do not have such paperwork. Nonetheless, they were legal under state and federal law. As I have purchased everything I own legally once, I will not submit to re-registering period.

Any gun bought on a 4473 can be traced in a matter of a few days. If you have sold the gun or its been stolen, you'll need some proof to get off the hotseat if the gun was used in a crime. What will be passed soon by the Senate is known as the gun show loophole. Which is the sale of a gun by a nondealer. Being a dealer, I could get by uf this is passed into law. Id rather have it then have restrictions on types of firearms As a dealer, I'm sure you could, but I'm not a dealer, and I wouldn't buy a gun from any dealer who supported such legislation. This IS a restriction on firearms, and maybe the worst sort possible in the long run. In my state, at least, all it take sto get off the hotseat is that you report the gun stolen within a reasonable period of time. But that aside, registration is always the first step in confiscation, and I will not register my weapons without a fight.
