Dang box of Twinkies are bringing up to 60 bucks on EBay. I just polished off about 180 bucks worth in the last couple weeks. Still have two unopened boxes of Ding Dongs I'm saving for retirement funds LOL.

While shopping Friday evening I watched people grab up the last of the Hostess products and even having themselves photographed standing next to the display rack. Do you think the union could have given in a bit?

What will I wash down with my Mt Dew now? Twinkies and Dew have been my road trip mainstay for years.

I read yesterday that head of the union that tanked Hostess is confidant that a buyer will emerge to buy the company and rehire his union brothers and sisters. Fat chance, dumbass. Hostess had been unsuccessfully seeking a buyer for three years prior to the blowup with the two unions, it seems that nobody wanted to buy a company with aging plants and a fractured distribution system. The brands, especially the iconic Twinkie, may survive the collapse, but over 18,000 people lost their jobs forever because a small greedy union refused to face reality and work with the management.

Rumors have it that the whole shebang could be moving to Mexico. Thank you Union for your excellent work!

Getting out of a union workplace was the smartest thing I ever did.
I haven't had a twinkie in years, but now that they are in the news I'm craving one.

Especially on the last sentence!
