Well I finally got my buck this morning. He wasn't a monster or anything, but we have a little history...During bow season this guy had snuck in on me and I was torn on whether to shoot him or not because of his broken right side...Well I decided to let him walk. Today I was sitting in the blind and heard the unmistakable crashing of a doe and buck running through the woods...I got ready as the doe popped out. I could hear the buck grunting and he came in fast right on her tail. I grunted to stop him and realized who it was, the same buck with the missing right side. This time I decided it was his time to go. Ran about 40 yards and dropped. All this happened around 8:25 this morning

I know right? I think he is the one that I saw last week snorting up a storm and pawing the ground when I wheezed at him...He was fired up and ready to go. I was hoping to try to get a big buck this year but after seeing this guy 2 or 3 times, I felt like I had formed a little relationship with him and grew found of his one little spike on his other side I'm happy with him and he sure is going to taste good!
