The reality is there is no such thing as stopping power; and it is impossible to predict how any one individual will react to being shot. All we can do is select a round that we shoot well, is reliable, and gives acceptable performance - my criteria for the last is does it meet the FBI standards for the bare and 4 layer denim tests.
