I was driving home Saturday night from a family party after not seeing any deer thursday night, friday morning, saturday morning, or saturday night and saw a doe with 2 fawns right by her. If a doe comes in heat will she kick the fawns to the curb? Im wondering if maybe the rut hasnt kicked in yet, being why I am not seeing very many deer. Also Sunday morning i saw a young 4 pointer by himself. Any thoughts?

Seen a nice buck chasing a doe with two yearlings 100 yards behind them last week

I have seen some chasing, saw 2 bucks chasing one doe. I think she must have been in heat or nearly so. My doe sightings have really dropped off. That's another reason why I think does are close to heat. This weekend should be interesting.
