A guy from my church got a good picture of a bob cat about 150 yards from his back door. He says that we don't have any of them in Indiana just like we don't have and mountain lions like the one hit by a car in Versailles.
The picture is on facebook, but I can't get it over here.

Indiana most definitely has bobcats. Try being 15yrs old (28yrs ago), in a tree before sunlight and having one let out a blood curling screech. Once it got light enough I could see the thing about 8 trees over from me (quit a bit higher) hanging out on a limb.

FYI the mountain lion that was supposedly hit in Versailles has been debunked a while ago. It was posted by a person on facebook using a 2011 photo from Florida. The person's facebook account has even been deactivated according to news releases. see link www.eaglecountryonline.com/news.php?nID=4468

Bobcats are always cool to see, I have seen 2 Bobcats in the last 4 months where I hunt in Kentucky.
The Staff at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge have several Trail Cam pics of Bobcats at Big Oaks.
Big Oaks actually did a Bobcat Study a few years ago.
The Staff at Big Oaks see several Bobcats every year.
There is probably a growing population in southeast Indiana.

And there goes what is left of the small game population, anyone ever consider that aspect.

I hunted at Big Oaks last Monday and had a mama bobcat and her two kittens walk past. The DNR captured and radio collared a couple of dozen bobcats over the last 15 years or so within a few miles of my home. They're definitely all over the state.

And there goes what is left of the small game population, anyone ever consider that aspect. I have, and can't stand the thought of bobcats in the area. I have a hard enough time keeping away the neighbors' roaming cats and the coyotes. I'd hate to see what adding bobcats to my area would do.
