I heard that if I buy a non resident bundle license which is one buck and two does and then want another doe that I then have to pay $150 for a first doe vs the $25 for the subsequent doe tag. Anyone know for sure? I ususally buy the buck and three doe tags. $150 buck, $150 1st doe, and $25 x 2 for the additional does = $350.00 total. $295 for the bundle + $150 for an additional doe = $445.00. I don't always use all the tags (licenses) but have them in case. If the additional doe does count as a 1st doe license bought after the bundle license, then I will just buy individually. Doesn't make sense that the bundle wouldn't count but wanted to make sure before purchasing. Hope all that made sense, Thanks Herbie

This is what our CO posted in the ask a CO thread.
The Deer License Bundle was designed to take the place of three (3) deer licenses and allow for the taking of one (1) antlered deer and two (2) antlerless deer. These deer may be taken in the Archery, Firearms, or Muzzleloader seasons.
If you are hunting the with the bundle in the archery season, here is how it would work. Your one (1) antlered deer and one (1) antlerless deer would be your seasonal bag limit. The second antlerless deer would be a bonus anlerless. This is where more explaination is needed.
Since the second antlerless would be a bonus antlerless, the regulations governing that would apply. You would be restricted and unable to take that deer (bonus antlerless) on certain state properties. So you would need to check if hunting DNR properties if the bonus antlerless license can be used there and the dates that it can be used.
Also, if you decide to buy an additional bonus antlerless license, it will be considered your first (for pricing) even though you already had taken a bonus antlerless deer under the bundle.
I hope this answered your question. If you need further or I just made it too confusing, let me know and I will try to word it differently. Thanks.

A person would be foolish to buy the third doe license at $150. I don't know any state that charges that much for a doe any longer.

Indiana is getting there as far as tags go, and the bundle is a step in the right direction, this unfortunate wrinkle notwithstanding. When you try to re-vamp an old system like the one we have right now, there are always these unforeseen glitches. Most are harmless, but some can lead to unintended infractions that could get a hunter a ticket.
DNR should scrap the existing tag system that is tied to seasons/methods and just sell "deer tags", bundled or separate, that can be used in any open season.

I bought a resident bundle license but three deer is all I would harvest anyways. The non-resident prices seem pretty steep. I still kick myself in the butt for not getting a lifetime license when they were dirt cheap.

I would have to agree with cleetus, I could kick myself in the hind end for not buying the lifetime license but I was young and foolish back then.

I just want to make sure I am on the same page with this bundle. You can use it in any season right? So I could kill 2 doe with my bow then a buck with my shotgun is that correct?
