I understand that they outsourced the manufacture of this to Darton? I don't know if they did or didn't. Regardless, it shows how even vertical bow manufacturers can't ignore crossbows any more. And I like the looks of the bow. It'll be interesting to hear what is said about them as consumers actually start buying/shooting them.

Everybody and their brother are making xbows now days. Gun companies and bow companies. Tells me that all those surveys showing that most hunters want xbows in archery season are legit.

In answer to "there are no crossbow groups of people wanting crossbows " I've always said that there is a latent group out there that IF the DNR finally OKed crossbows they would come out of the woodwork. Most deer hunters are just that deer hunters. They see a deer hunting tool, no matter what it is, as a means to go hunting... Period. If a certain hunting tool is not legal there is little to no interest in it. Crossbows and PCRs are prime examples.. Now a lot of companties are getting on the crossbow band wagon. They want apiece of the pie. Me? I'll stick with the tried and true real crossbow companies that have been with us all the way and not the Johnny Come Latelys..

If you can't beat them, join them is the old saying, but I bet it will be a long time before we see one with the Mathews name on it. They have to keep the anti crossbow vertical bow "fan" boys happy. I like my Mathews Switchback, but I'm starting to like my Wicked Ridge Invader more.

Has to do with the market. Hunters don't want super cheap xbiws or the ultra high priced ones. That's why the midrange priced bows sell the best. Horton has about 60% of the market last I heard. That's telling evidence.
