Woody, Have you considered the "Hunter Orange" spray paint that is available? Might save you a few bucks.

do i have to put the orange on the top of the blind? also, my blind is not shaped to where it has 4 even sides...its more like a octagon shape so how many of these squares am i going to have to attach to this thing?

The law says 144 sq inches.... it doesn't say how you have to get to 144 sq inches so I plan on just using orange trail marking tape in 2 or 3 rows to equal 144 sq in per side. I'm just gonna safety pin a row all around the exterior bottom, one in the middle, and one around the top of the windows.

12' of 1" wide orange flagging satisfies the law. Each side that is.

Never considered puttin strips on the blind instead of the 1sq ft. Wonder how a CO would like if you had 3 1" strips wrapped/sewn around the blind(top, middle and bottom). Assuming your sides are at least 4ft you would easily satisfy the law of 144sq inches.

Assuming your sides are at least 4ft you would easily satisfy the law of 144sq inches. If the law says 144 in2, as long as you meet the requirements, the CO can't say much. 12x12, 6x24, 4x36, 3x48, 2x72 doesn't matter. A prosecutor and/or judge would throw out the case if the minimum was met.

Trying to think of something clever to spell out with the 1" tape on the side of my blind.... First thought is "Bite Me DNR"..... lol. The more I think about this new law the more I'm tempted to take that 1" tape and strip it into even thinner strips and attach to the blind, just so the the CO has to do the math to make sure I'm equal to 144 sq. in.. LOL. I wonder if I could get some orange thread somewhere? LOL!!!!

I've been so busy lately and didn't follow the new rules, please forgive me for the question. Bow season starts in a few days and I am planing going on opening day. Do I need to have anything orange on me? Thank you in advance.
